Terms and Conditions of Sale
Terms of Sale
The sale will be conducted on a cash basis and in euros.
In addition to the hammer price, buyers will pay the following fees: 25% (including tax) for voluntary sales and 14.28% (including tax) for judicial sales, applicable to all bidders.
Warranties
In accordance with the law, the descriptions in the catalog are the responsibility of SVV Sadde Hôtel des Ventes de Dijon (SVV Sadde), subject to any corrections announced at the time of the item’s presentation and recorded in the Official Sale Record.
A pre-auction viewing allows buyers to assess the condition of the items offered for sale. All items are sold with their imperfections, defects, signs of wear, and restorations. Thus, given their age, archaeological objects may have undergone routine repairs or restorations that are not systematically noted. No claims will be accepted once the lot has been sold. This condition applies to all buyers, whether or not they attended the preview. Dimensions are provided for informational purposes only. The working condition of clocks and watches, as well as the condition of their mechanisms, is not guaranteed.
Auctions
Auctions proceed in the order of the catalog numbers. SVV Sadde reserves the right to set the bidding increments, and bidders are required to comply with them. The highest and final bidder will be the successful bidder. In the event of a tied bid deemed valid by SVV Sadde, the item will be put up for auction again, and all bidders present may participate in this second round of bidding.
Written Bids and Telephone Bidding
If you wish to submit a written bid or bid by telephone, you may use the forms available during the exhibition. These must be submitted to us at least 48 hours before the auction, via fax, email, or mail, along with your bank details and a copy of your identification. We recommend that you contact us to confirm receipt.
In the event of multiple purchase offers of equal amount, the first offer received by SVV Sadde takes precedence over the others.
Telephone bidding is a complimentary service provided to customers who are unable to attend in person. Under no circumstances will SVV Sadde be held liable for any telephone connection issues.
Delinquent Payers
The auctioneer is a member of the Central Registry for the Prevention of Non-Payment by Auctioneers, with which payment incidents may be recorded. The debtor concerned may exercise their rights of access, rectification, and objection on legitimate grounds by contacting Symev at 15 rue Freycinet, 75016 Paris.
